Would you potentially want to present on one of these shows?

Post by michaelfarrie »

As an idea could I ask if any of you might potentially be interested in being a presenter (or occasionally) on one of my show formats, just to get a bit more variety than just my voice (you could broadcast the show on your own Reach account), I would take your links as audio files and then edit them into a show. You could pick your favourite songs that fit the formats as it would become your show, or I could suggest some as well. You could do it once, or several times whatever you feel like, you'd be adding to shows to play without it just being my voice only all the time!

Say for one of these.

Classic Anthems - One Song, One Year
Disco, soul, funk etc from the 70s to the 90s
Example of what fits this
1976 - Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free
1977 - Donna Summer - I Feel Love
1978 - The Village People - YMCA
1979 - Chic - I Need Your Love

One Song, One Year

Forgotten sort of hits from 1980-now, going up a year a song through the show.

Example of what fits this
1991 - Cathy Dennis - Touch Me (All Night Long)
1992 - Shakespear's Sister - I Don't Care
1993 - Shara Nelson - Down That Road
1994 - Let Loose - Crazy For You

GOODTIME Rock & Roll - One Song, One Year
Oldies from 50's & 60's
Example of what fits this
1960 - Sam Cooke - Wonderful World
1961 - The Shirelles - Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?
1962 - The Beatles - Love Me Do

Power Dance Anthems - One Song, One Year
Dance, rave, house etc hits from 1990-now.

Example of what fits this
1994 - Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy
1995 - Alex Party - Don't Give Me Your Life
1996 - Jamiroquai - Space Cowboy (Remix)

REBEL
A heavy metal/rock format etc I've only done one show of myself

Example of what fits this

1993 - Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box
1994 - Green Day - Basketcase
This one doesn't have to be One Song, One Year actually, most likely the next show I do for this will be a One Song, One Year one.

If you'd be interested, it will be as simple as recording a few links and sending them, and I'll put the show together and send that back to you.
